The primary purpose of MidnightWiki is to serve as place for us (the group of peeps who hang here, who generally know each other in person, but who would not like to give the impression that they don't want to meet other people online) to post and discuss stuff. I also like to refer to it as an open repository of indiscriminant intellectualism. To that end, it has become a sort of crazy and opinionated Wikipedia slash blog slash Community Portal. The entire site is maintained by us, the users! You're probably familiar with this paradigm because it's all the rage right now -- Wikipedia, myspace, web2.0, ...

Basically, we want to create an archive of all the great things we think of. The organizational structure is encyclopedic (based on categorized articles) so that these great ideas will remain universally accessible, for eternity. You'll find here everything from actual intellectual material to completely useless crap. We try to purge most of the useless crap eventually.
